I offer all techniques in pmu (permanent makeup) brows which include microblading, nano strokes, powder, ombre, and combo brows. We will figure out which brow is best suited for you depending on skin, goals, lifestyle, etc. during your appointment/consultation.
*These are ALL a form of a tattoo because we are implanting ink into the skin!! We do not go as deep as a traditional tattoo, so it depends in your natural cell turnover over the years, which determines how it will fade out.
If you schedule your appointment and have one of the conditions listed, I will refuse service and your booking fee will be forfeited.
IN ORDER TO AVOID BLEEDING AND UNEVEN COLOR DEPOSIT:
Upon arrival we will take pictures, fill out consent forms, get a copy of your ID (so please have on hand), talk about your goals. I will then sterilize the treatment area, assess brow shape and what would best compliment your features, then pre draw 1 brow so you have an idea of shape and form. if you love it, ill pre draw the other side to give a better feel of final look. Once shape is agreed upon, we will discuss color options. When we have agreed upon brow shape and color, I will start treatment. I do one pass to open the skin and secure shape, a topical anesthetic will be administered, and I'll finish the procedure once you're numb.
The procedure takes about roughly two hours, sometimes more sometimes less. Please allow a solid 3-hour window for your appointment. I won't likely need that much time, but this isn’t something I want to rush.
All PMU is a two-step treatment, consisting of the initial procedure and then a perfecting touch up to ensure the longevity for the years to come. Brow touch ups are recommended 6-8 weeks after initial session. There is an additional fee if you wait longer then this window
Most likely, the color will fade significantly over the next 6 to 8 weeks. It can fade as much as 50%. We can reflect on your shape and color at your follow-up appointment, where we can address any changes
.
Keep in mind, after your first 2 sessions, you will have sustainable brows for YEARS to come, but
your face sees the most wear of any piece of you- exposure to the sun, food, facial products- the list goes on and on. Because the color implanted in the facial area tends to be more fluid circulation than other parts of the body. All these things cause color to fade. This is why you need a touch up aka color boost a few years down the road or until they fade out at least 50%
The healing process varies from individual to individual but typically takes 7-14 days. During this time, the tattooed area may scab, itch, and flake as it heals. Once the epithelial crust (scab) falls off, your skin will be considered healed on the outside, however, the pigment takes some time to settle into the skin. A good month should pass before you should consider the process complete and get a true color pallet.
For the first few days, brows will appear dark and very defined before the flaking/scabbing phase. The thickness will subside gradually as the days go by.
• No long hot showers and steam for 14 days.
• You can wash your face by using a damp cloth to cleanse around the brows. Normal washing routine can be used for the lower half of your face (from the eyes down). *Use the pmu or any antibacterial soap to clean the brow area and only use bottled or distilled water to rinse when cleaning them.
• DO NOT scrub, scrap, rub, tap, or pick at your brows. * The scabbing and peeling dry skin will look like it’s ready to come off, but while it’s still attached, it still has the ability to affect the ink if it’s accidentally pulled at or ripped off. Pulling off any scabs or pieces of flaky skin will very possibly contribute to areas of scarring, hair loss, and additional pigment loss - please allow it to fall off naturally.
• Sleep on your back or in a reclining position to avoid rubbing your brows on the pillow. Again, accidentally pulled at or ripped off pieces of flaky skin can possibly contribute to areas of additional pigment loss.
• Do not work out or have excessive sweating for 14 days. The treated area needs to be kept away from two things – moisture and bacteria – and sweat can expose to both. The drier the skin the better results. Not following the aftercare instructions will put you at risk for infection and will cause the color to heal unevenly.
• Avoid dirt (as in gardening), extreme perspiration for the first week to prevent infection.
• Direct sunlight and artificial tanning beds for 1 month. Especially during the 14-day period AFTER you get your brows done. This is when your tattoo is in its delicate healing stage, and very vulnerable to outside elements. UV rays can cause fading and damage your skin. Once completely healed, apply a layer of sunscreen SPF 30 to SPF 50 on your eyebrows when exposed to the sun.⠀
• No swimming for 1 month. NOTE: Chlorine in swimming pools, hot, tubs, and salt in seawater can bleach out your color.
• Do not wear makeup or USE ANY FACIAL PRODUCT / TREATMENT on or near the treated area for 3 weeks or longer. Wait until your brows are fully healed.
• Avoid Microdermabrasion, Chemical Peels, alcohol in facial products, toners, Glycolic acid, salicylic acid, AHAs, BHAs, Alpha Hydroxy Acids and Retinoids of any kind directly your brows after treatment. You can still use these products on the rest of your face, but not on your brows. These products can cause the pigments to fade prematurely and alter the color.
• To extend the life of the procedure, avoid abrasive facial treatments and harsh facial products that may alter the color in the brow area.
I create the color we will use based off your skin tone & undertone but take into consideration your natural brow hair & shade used daily. The color I implant plus what your body naturally produces = healed results!!
*Clients who are used to not having brows for a long time, can find these few weeks challenging. I usually advise clients who have no brows to start wearing pencil or brow shading for some time before the process, so they get used to having a brow.
Unfortunately, I can't. How the skin will react is different for everyone and many factors are to be taken into consideration. Skin type, age, scarring, diet, stress levels, facial products used, etc. All play a key role in your results, which is why it is important to know that more than one touch up may be needed. Your face is important to me, and I will act in accordance with my experience and expertise to give you my absolute best. There are no guarantees in this industry. Please think long and hard before you decide to go for it. WHAT IF I DONT LIKE IT? Although pmu is considered semi-permanent, the procedure does allow flexibility for color or shape change to some extent. However, I will work closely with you to ensure that you are satisfied with the proposed technique. I will allow you to have as much control over the procedure as possible, so there’s very little room for error. If you do not like the decision you made, the touch up can be cancelled and the pigmented area naturally fades over time. I do have an amazing laser removal specialist as well. If you are not 100% sure you would benefit from this procedure, please opt for a more temporary option. There are absolutely NO REFUNDS!
